FAQ

What food is easiest to draw?

If you’re looking for the simplest food to draw, I’d probably go with a cookie. It’s basically just a circle, and then you throw some smaller circles on top for chocolate chips. You don’t really have to think about perspective or anything complicated. Other easy ones are stuff like pizza slices or donuts since they’re just basic shapes with a few extra details added on.

What supplies do I Need?

All you really need is a pencil and some paper to get started. That’s enough for pretty much every tutorial on this site. If you want to add color or make it look a bit nicer, you can use cheap markers, colored pencils, watercolors, or even crayons. Nothing fancy needed, whatever you already have lying around works fine.

How do I draw cartoon food?

Most cartoon food drawings start with simple shapes. Just sketch the basic outline first, then add a few small details on top of that. Don’t overthink it. The goal is just to make something that looks like the food, but in a simple, fun way that’s easy to recognize.
