Learn How to Draw a Potion Bottle in 6 Easy Steps

Did you just type “How to draw a potion bottle” into google? If so, then you’re in the right place. Learning how to draw a potion bottle can be pretty difficult.

Which is why…

I’ve spent hours coming up with 6 easy-to-follow steps to make learning how to draw a potion bottle as simple as possible.

Final potion bottle drawing for people who don’t like to read:

Step 1: Draw a Circle

Step one of learning how to draw a potion bottle is to draw the simplest shape there is, a circle. If you need a little extra help with basic shapes you might benefit from my fundamental tutorials like how to draw a sphere.

Step 2: Draw a Cylinder

Next, draw a slightly more complex shape, a cylinder, and attach it to the circle. This will be the neck of the potion bottle.

Step 3: Draw the Bottle Opening

On the top of the cylinder, draw an oval to act as the bottle opening.

Step 4: Add a Cork to the Bottle

That’s right, a cylinder makes the perfect cork. So, draw one of those on top of your oval.

Step 5: Draw the Liquid

Time to put the potion inside this potion bottle. Draw a half circle on the inside of the first circle. Leaving a gap between the liquid and the bottle makes it look more like glass.

Step 6: Add Some Details

Scratch up the bottle. Make it look like it’s been clanking around in some adventurer’s backpack.

Bonus Step: Color and Shade the Potion Bottle

First do the flat colors. I chose green for the liquid and blue for the cork. I think that makes this a stamina potion. After that, choose a light source and stick to it while shading and highlighting.
