How to Draw a Space Helmet in 7 Steps
Learn to Draw a Space Helmet in 7 Easy Steps
Today I’m going to teach you how to draw a space helmet. I break it down into 7 steps that are super easy to follow. I also use basic shapes that anyone can draw. I do all this to make drawing a space helmet as easy as possible.
The final space helmet drawing:

Step 1: Draw this Shape
The first thing you want to draw is the shape below. It’s a cylinder, but right now it just looks like a square with rounded corners, so draw one of those.

Step 2: Draw the Visor
Next, you gotta draw the visor. It’s just an oval, so pretty easy to draw. Maybe try a circle or even a square visor to get a different look.

Step 3: Draw the Helmet Trim
Draw a noodle shape all the way around the visor, and another one at the bottom of the helmet. These random shapes are starting to look like a space helmet now.

Step 4: Draw some Ear Things
I don’t really know what this thing is. Maybe a headphone type device that allows astronauts to hear each other. It’s just a sort of squashed circle, so go ahead and draw one.

Step 5: Draw the Battery
I call this thing a battery. It supplies power to all of the technology inside the helmet. What does it look like to you? Maybe it’s some sort of oxygen vent? It’s just a rectangle on the back of the helmet. I made some little slits in mine to make it more fancy.

Step 6: Draw the Cushion
Let’s make this space helmet comfortable to wear by adding some cushion where it connects to the space suit. Just follow the curve of the trim and add some vertical lines.

Step 7: Add the Details
Time for some final details. Draw some random scratches and dots to give the helmet an aged and weathered look. I don’t really think to deeply when doing this step.

Bonus Step: Shade and Highlight the Space Helmet
If you want, you can color it in, then add shadows and highlights. You could also download the coloring sheet, if you’re not into drawing.

Wow, if you made it all the way down here you gotta be a pro space helmet drawer. Thanks for checking this out!
