How to Draw a Flaming Skull in 5 easy Steps

Everyone loves a flaming skull, but drawing one can be kinda hard.

That’s where I come in…

I make learning how to draw a flaming skull super easy by breaking it down into basic shapes and using easy to follow steps. That way anyone can learn how to draw a flaming skull.

The final flaming skull drawing:

Step 1: Draw a Circle

As usual, we want to keep things simple and easy. So we’ll start by drawing a circle that will eventually be your skull’s cranium.

Step 2: Make the Cheek Bones

The next thing to draw is the upper jaw and cheekbones. This step is a little bit complicated and not so easy to explain. I went over it in detail in my How to Draw a Skull tutorial, so go check that out if you need a deeper explanation. If not, draw what you see below.

Step 3: Draw The Face

Two more circles for eyes, and an upside-down heart for the nose. I also gave him a right brow at this stage.

Step 4: Draw The Bottom Jaw

The bottom jaw is similar to the top jaw. Just draw some humps and wrap it around underneath his cheekbone. Don’t forget to draw the back part of the jaw behind the teeth.

Step 5: Draw The Flames

Draw a flame around your skull. I make my flames kinda soft and round because in my opinion it’s easier to look at. You can draw them however you want.

Bonus Step: Color the Flaming skull In

No shading on this one. Get your markers or crayons and start coloring. I colored the skull black. I left gaps around my line work while coloring to make the color spill through. Then I colored the flames blue. Start with the dark blue, then gradually get closer to white as you get towards the center. You could also download the coloring sheet if you’re not into drawing.

Wow, if you made it all the way down here you’re probably better than me at drawing flaming skulls. Thanks for reading!
