How to Draw a turkey in 5 easy Steps
It’s turkey season and you need a turkey drawing. Well, don’t trace your hand! Learning how to draw a turkey is not as hard as you think. I make it easy by breaking the drawing down into basic shapes and easy to follow steps. That way even you can learn to draw a turkey.
The final turkey drawing will look like this:

Step 1: Draw an oval
If you’ve been here before then you know we love simple shapes. Let’s get this turkey drawing started by drawing an oval. This will be the turkey’s body.

Step 2: Draw turkey’s head
Draw a circle on top of the oval from step 1. This is the turkey’s head. Erase any overlapping lines. I also erased some of my circle to connect the head to the body.

Step 3: Let’s draw the turkey’s face
After that, draw a triangle for a beak, two circles for eyes, and this sus shape for the turkey’s gobbler.

Step 4: Draw the appendages
I started with the turkey’s legs. I keep it simple by just drawing two cylinders. No need for fancy feet and claws. Then I drew the wing. Finally, I drew some giant tail feathers. Now your drawing is starting to look like a turkey, good job.

Step 5: Draw the Details
Time to make this turkey look super cool. Draw some feathers, scratches and dots all over your drawing. This step makes your drawing feel complete.

Bonus Step: Color the turkey
Don’t stop here. It’s time to color your turkey drawing. First, pick some flat colors. Then choose a light source and keep it consistent as you shade and highlight.

Wow, if you made it all the way down here, you’re probably better than me at drawing turkeys. Thanks for reading!
