How to Draw a Mouth
Learn to Draw a Cartoon Mouth the Easiest Way Tutorial
Mouths are one of my favorite things to draw, but learning how to draw one is almost impossible.
I mean, think about it…
Teeth, lips, a tongue?!?!!? Where are all those features supposed to go? Well lucky for you I’m taking all the guess work out of drawing a mouth. So now, even You can learn to draw a mouth in only 5 easy steps.
Step 1: Draw the Inner Mouth
This is a weird shape. Kinda looks like a dented circle. Maybe a fat boomerang?
I don’t know…
Take a look at the picture and draw a similar shape. It doesn’t have to look exactly like mine.
Step 2: Draw the Lips
Draw the same shape, but just a little bigger. Try to make the lines the same distance apart all the way around.
Step 3: Draw the Teeth
Time to draw the teeth! Draw some half circles in the inner mouth. Put as many or as little as you want. The mouth I drew is missing a top tooth.
Step 4: Give him a Tongue
Draw the top of a heart behind the bottom teeth.
Sick!!!
Now our mouth has a tongue.
Step 5: Scratch up Your Mouth
Time to add the “details.” I chose give this mouth some dry cracked lips. I also drew lumps on the tongue to act as taste buds.
You can go as wild or as mild as you’d like with this step.
Bonus Step: Add Some Color
You can color it if you want. I chose to make the lips red, the tongue blue, and I even gave him a gold tooth.
