Step 1: Draw a Rounded Rectangle (Cactus Body)

Start by drawing a rounded rectangle. This will be the cactus body. Make it as tall or as short as you want.

Step 2: Draw the Cactus Arms

The next step is to draw some cactus arms. It takes a cactus 75 years to grow its arms. You can probably draw them in a couple of seconds. Draw some bent rounded rectangles and this cactus is ready for a hug.

Step 3: Draw the Cactus Face 

To make this cactus drawing extra cute, give it a face. Three circles make a pretty good cactus face if you ask me, but you can do whatever you want here.

Step 4: Draw the Spines of the Cactus

Cacti are usually covered in razor-sharp spines, which are actually modified leaves that offer protection, provide shade, and help conserve water. Draw some short lines all over the cactus. Some should overlap the outline to make it look super sharp.

Step 5: Give the Cactus a Flower Hat

I’m pretty sure some cacti flower and fruit. Lets give this cactus drawing a flower hat to make them extra cute.

Bonus Step: Color and Shade The Cute Cactus

If you feel like it, color and shade your drawing. Make sure you go crazy when picking the colors. Then, choose a light source and make sure you stick to it when you’re adding the highlights and shadows.
