How To Draw a Heart
Learn to Draw a Heart the Easiest Way Drawing Tutorial
You’re probably here because you want to learn how to draw a heart. You probably googled something like “heart drawing”, “How to draw a heart” or maybe “how to draw a cartoon heart.”
If that’s the case…
Feel free to skip all the SEO fluff and just check out the pictures and follow along. I only write this stuff to meet a word count so these will rank on google, and I would actually be pretty embarrassed if you actually read this stuff.
Step 1: Draw this Shape
Step one of learning to draw a heart is to start with this kinda weird lumpy oval shape. You can put some holes in the line with an eraser, if you want. It’s not 100% necessary but it will help it to connect to the next shape.

Step 2: Add a Lump on the Left Side
Next draw a lump on the left side. After this step you can kinda see a heart if you squint your eyes and imagine.

Step 3: Some Small Rectangles for Heart stuff
I did some small rectangles to act as veins for the heart. I did two on each side and kept them about the same size and shape so it would stay balanced. Now you’re one step closer to being pro at drawing hearts.

Step 4: Add a Big Vein on Top
Draw a big macaroni noodle at the top of the heart drawing. I’m pretty sure they call this thing a ventricle but don’t take my word for it.

Step 5: Draw Another Ventricle
Loop a single line around the back of the heart. Do some more rectangle things on the top. They are supposed to look like more veins.

Step 6: Another Big Macaroni
To the left add another big macaroni. This is obviously, the left ventricle.

Step 7: Scratch it up
In classic Austin_Beale style. Draw some scratches and dots. This step will trick people into thinkin you are better at drawing than you actually are.

Bonus Step: Uhhhhh… color and Shade
The final step is the same bonus step as always. Do the flat colors then shade it. I went with a pink heart and purple veins.

If you actually read all this I am thoroughly embarrassed, and also extremely appreciative. Thank you so much for reading these stupid words.
